THE dates for our 2009 ANNUAL CHARITY AURICULA OPEN WEEKEND have been fixed - April 25th and 26th...We will be open as usual from 1000 to 1630 each day, and admission will be £1.00, children and parking free. Please contact us if you need directions.

OUR 2008 Auricula Workshops were good fun, and we always enjoy spending a whole day with like-minded people. We hope some of this year's intake will do as well as last year - one of our number went on to win a cup at her first Auricula Society Show!

If you are interested in joining us at a future 'hands-on' workshop please email on mail@popsplants.com . During the day we cover a little auricula history, care and cultivation - including practical sessions on potting, propagation and hybridising - with lunch and other refreshments. We keep numbers to a minimum so we are able to give individual advice. The cost is £60.

OUR annual open weekend in May raised £507.15 for the Alzheimer's Society - and thanks to all who attended and helped. It was good to meet so many customers face to face here, and also at Malvern Spring Show, where we were awarded an RHS Gold Medal in the Floral Marquee.

WE were delighted that a photograph of one of our plants - 'Dilly-Dilly', raised by Keith Leeming - was chosen to grace the NCCPG's latest membership leaflet. It is a particularly lovely photograph by Derek St.Romaine, and may encourage a few new growers from among the conservation minded.

THE 'DOWNTON DOUBLES' COLLECTION - our new selection raised from some of the finest double auriculas produced - is now available. The Collection of five different coloured plants is suitable for pot or garden cultivation. It costs £25.00 and includes p&p in the UK.
